I'm trying to review in my head all of the happenings for the week. As usual, it was a busy week. I need to do a daily tracking since my senior brain doesn't retain very well.

Monday- Worked hard in the office.

Family Home Evening- Professor Haigi Wesley from Fiji spoke on his life story. Father of two major sports celebrities: Tai Wesley-Played Basketball for USU, his brother who play football for BYU. 

Started on a little outfit for Tali Galeai  Pres. Grace's scretary

Tuesday-Jeremi Barber came to the PCC, but I didn't know he was there. We caught up to each other on Friday

Wednesday-Received a gift package from one of my bosses, Sonne Campbell. Worked 11 hours Orientation-Taught The standards and employee responsibilities part at 2:00, then taught Orientation class at night until 8:00.

Thursday-Kahuku Rugby- Pacific Rim Cup preliminaries. sister Kelson and I went to the 8:45 game which they lost by 2 points.

Jake's going away party at Sister Kelson's home.Finished the little Samoan Sulu and Shirt.

Friday- Kahuku Rugby- Pacific  Red Raiders won their game still Rim Cup preliminaries.Walk and assist assignment at the Luau- Jeremi and his wife, Hayley caught up with me and we had dinner at Pounders. I gave them tickets to the "Ha, the Breath of Life" show.

First night of Culture Night with all BYUH students. It went until mid-night.

Saturday-  Stayed home and sewed in the morning, spend some time buying groceries.  Attended the Rugby finals where Kahuku won the championship against a team from Danville, CA. (36/16)
My other boss,  Seamus Fitzgerald, was the coach. Dinner party at Jones'. Culture night 8:00-11:00 that night

Sunday-Usual, Sacramenrt meeting at 8:30 am, but many were there inspite of late night the night before. Watched Forever Strong  to get an idea of how  Rugby works.

Temple Preparation class in
Sunday School this year. These are
the girls who attended my class.
All have very strong testimonies
and are outstanding examples
to me.

Seola is preparing for a mission.

Princess,  a returned missionary was our Relief Society President this year and someone who is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, as well. Although she didn't attend my class, she became my good friend. Her sealing in June 14th and I hope to be able to attend it.

Graduation Day at BYU-Hawaii

This week was graduation at BYU-Hawaii. Many of the students in my ward are leaving, either because they are graduating or getting married or both. Most are returned missionaries and great examples of dedicated service to the Lord. I will miss them. I'm posting some pictures of some of the ones I will probably never see again. Happy-sad day.

Preparing for the graduates to come out of the Cannon Center

Families often will have a special tapa cloth made

to honor the graduating student from Tonga or Samoa.

Booths are set up everywhere along the streets and everyone Attending Graduation will give one to their special graduate.

This was especially nice. It is made to wear around the head and is called a Haku-a lei for the head.

This is the lady making the Haku-she teaches this art to the younger generation.
